Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') govern all driving lessons, packages, and services provided by Lessons2Drive Driving School, operated by Grants Capital Group Pty Ltd (ABN 48 632 227 228) ('we', 'us', 'our').

By booking a lesson or purchasing a package with Lessons2Drive — whether online, by phone, via WhatsApp, or in person — you ('the student' or 'the client') agree to these Terms in full.

If a parent or guardian is booking on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian also agrees to these Terms on behalf of the student.

• All lesson bookings are subject to instructor availability.
• A booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation from Lessons2Drive via email, WhatsApp, or SMS.
• For online bookings, confirmation is sent automatically upon successful payment.
• Lessons2Drive reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking at its sole discretion.
• You are responsible for providing accurate pickup location, contact details, and licence information at the time of booking.

3.1 Prices

All prices listed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price at the time of booking confirmation applies.

3.2 Night Lesson Surcharge

Lessons scheduled to commence after 6:00pm attract a surcharge of $10.00 per hour (or part thereof). This surcharge applies to both single lessons and package lessons.

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• Online payments via credit/debit card (processed securely by Stripe)
• Direct bank transfer to our nominated business account
• Cash (a receipt will be issued for all cash payments)

3.4 Package Payments

Lesson packages must be paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Package lessons must be used within 12 months of purchase date.

4.1 Cancellation by the Student

We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellation with more than 48 hours notice — full credit or refund issued
• Cancellation with 24–48 hours notice — 50% credit of lesson value
• Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice — no refund or credit
• No-show (student not at pickup location at lesson time) — full lesson fee forfeited

4.2 Rescheduling

You may reschedule a lesson at no charge with at least 24 hours notice. Rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice is treated as a cancellation under the above policy.

4.3 Cancellation by Lessons2Drive

In the rare event that we need to cancel a lesson (due to instructor illness, vehicle breakdown, or emergency), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer either a full refund or rescheduled lesson at no additional cost.

4.4 Extreme Weather

Lessons may be rescheduled at our discretion in the event of extreme weather conditions that make driving unsafe. No cancellation fee applies in this case.

5.1 Single Lessons

Refunds for single lessons are issued in accordance with the cancellation policy in Section 4.

5.2 Packages

If you wish to cancel an unused package:

• Full refund available within 7 days of purchase if no lessons have been taken
• Pro-rata refund for remaining unused lessons after the 7-day period, less a $50 administration fee
• No refund is available for lessons already delivered

5.3 Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

By booking lessons with Lessons2Drive, you agree to:

• Hold a current and valid Victorian Learner Permit at the time of the lesson
• Bring your Learner Permit to every lesson — lessons cannot proceed without it
• Be ready at the agreed pickup location at the scheduled lesson start time
• Treat the instructor with respect and follow their reasonable instructions
• Not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair your ability to drive
• Wear appropriate footwear that allows safe operation of the vehicle's controls
• Inform the instructor of any medical condition that may affect your ability to drive safely
• Maintain your logbook accurately and have it available for lessons

Our instructors have the right to:

• Terminate a lesson at any time if the student's behaviour poses a safety risk to any person
• Terminate a lesson if the student appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Refuse to commence a lesson if the student does not have a valid Learner Permit
• Take control of the vehicle at any time using dual-control mechanisms to ensure safety

In the event of a lesson termination for the above reasons, no refund will be issued for that lesson.

Lessons2Drive is committed to providing a safe and professional learning environment for all students. We have zero tolerance for:

• Verbal abuse, harassment, or threatening behaviour toward our instructors
• Deliberate dangerous driving
• Discrimination of any kind

Any student engaging in the above behaviour will be refused further lessons and no refund will be issued for remaining package lessons.

Lessons start from the student's nominated pickup location — home, school, or workplace — within our service areas. Lesson time begins when the instructor arrives at the nominated pickup location.

Drop-off is at the same location as pickup unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking.

Lessons2Drive does not guarantee pickup from locations outside our designated service areas. Please confirm your pickup location is within our service area before booking.

Drive Test Packages include a lesson component followed by attendance at a VicRoads Drive Test Centre. The following applies:

• The student is responsible for booking and paying for their own VicRoads Drive Test appointment
• Lessons2Drive will accompany the student to the nominated VicRoads Centre
• If the drive test is cancelled or rescheduled by VicRoads or the student with less than 24 hours notice, the lesson component is forfeited unless rescheduled with adequate notice
• Lessons2Drive cannot guarantee the outcome of any VicRoads Drive Test
• If an incorrect assessment is identified during a drive test, our instructors will raise this professionally with the testing officer — however the final decision rests with VicRoads

Lessons2Drive and Grants Capital Group Pty Ltd take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of every lesson. However, to the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

• We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from driving lessons, except where caused by our negligence
• We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss of any kind
• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific lesson or package in question

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

All lessons are conducted in a roadworthy, dual-control vehicle maintained in accordance with Victorian road safety requirements. Our instructors hold current and valid driving instructor licences issued by VicRoads.

The vehicle used for lessons is covered by the instructor's comprehensive vehicle insurance and compulsory third-party insurance as required by law.

Students are not covered by Lessons2Drive's insurance when driving their own vehicle outside of lessons.

All Lessons2Drive instructors hold a current Working With Children Check (Victoria) as required by the Worker Screening Act 2020. Check numbers are available upon request.

All content on the Lessons2Drive website — including text, images, logos, and course materials — is the intellectual property of Grants Capital Group Pty Ltd and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without written permission.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website at lessons2drive.com.au/terms-and-conditions. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
